Who is J Glo Thrifts?

Well, I'm J Glo (short for Jordan Glover), I'm 26, and I thrift!  I've been a thrifting and vintage enthusiast since my middle school days. There's something so gratifying and intoxicating about the "hunt" when you find that diamond in the rough, that vintage gem nestled among heaps of small-town 5K t-shirts and 2008 Hollister polos that has withstood the test of time. This fondness increased tenfold once I moved from Sarasota, Florida to Tacoma, Washington, especially once I started learning more about how detrimental the fashion industry is to the environment.

It dawned on me one day that not everyone feels this same way about thrifting. The thing is, people want to thrift, but many just don't have the time, patience, resources, physical capabilities, and/or motivation to rummage through endless racks of textiles. As someone who could sift through them for hours, which led me into a mild (intense) addiction to thrifting, I realized that I was, in fact, over-consuming. The truth is that any kind of overconsumption is unsustainable despite the practice in question being "sustainable" by nature (huge air quotes moment there).

It was late fall of 2021 and since backpacking/camping season had ended here in the pacific northwest, I realized I needed something to keep me enriched indoors during the rainy season. Since I love styling myself, as well as other people, I decided to take to TikTok to help others thrift their dream wardrobes through curated "thrift bundles." Turns out, I'm pretty good at it, so J Glo Thrifts was born! Two years later, I find myself incredibly stoked to have styled people from all 50 states in the U.S. and some in Canada. I've received nearly 700 orders and garnered more than 13K followers on TikTok and 11K followers on Instagram.
